Around the 1980s camera makers produced brochures, usually A4 size, that could be picked up from racks in camera shops. They were of high quality because it would be assumed that the pictures within were taken with the featured camera. As well as being advertising, they contained specifications and other useful information, and were catalogues of the camera system's other components.
